It's been ages since I experienced having smelly foot. Smells like an old sock left behind under the bed. I'm a university student, wearing appropriate uniform is a must since it's their policy. I couldn't just wear flip-flops or sandals (to tol my feet breathe) due to strict policy.

Waking up 7 in the morning, making the bed per usual. Putting the sock on, and the most annoying things, always! I have to walk 15 minutes away from home in search of tricycle since not every time there's tricycle available on the street corner.

During the long walk, your body might have been drenched in sweat a lot, well in my case I don't, the only problem was down there, the foot though. I think if I will wring the sweaty sock, I might've accumulated a cup of sweat **sarcasm. That is so gross you know.

The funniest thing that has happened in my life when I was given a small cup of  powdered alum (powdered tawas) by my grandma. I was caught up and embarrassed haha! I don't need to asked what was that (the powder tawas) for because the evidence was all over the place, lingering, yikes!!!

Finally, enough with the story. All you need to say goodbye to your smelly foot forever is just one item, and that is powder tawas (powdered alum) it also cames with rock, hahaha!!! I said enough with the story but let this one slide, I have recollection of I think disgusting thing I have done. When I was a child, I went to a relative house,  as spontaneously playful kid I was. To make the story short, I went inside their room and found a crystal I mistook it as an ice but I was wondering why it doesn't feel cold, out of curiosity I lick and grind the rock alum between my teeth. I was caught red-handed and earning an earful words.

Properties of tawas?

Tawas is astringent, meaning that it shrinks body tissues.  This can be very helpful for healing cuts or other skin infections.  Tawas is hypoallergenic, so therefore unlikely to cause allergic reactions and also has antiseptic and antibacterial qualities, making it particularly useful at killing bacteria that creates bad smells and therefore makes an amazing natural body deodorant.  ---http://www.homegrowncures.com/home_cures/593/Tawas

Tawas has been a natural remedy to our older folks as natural deodorant. Many Filipino citizens uses powder tawas to cure canker sores also known as apthous ulcer in Pilipino it is called (singaw). I tried it many times as well, I dislike the aftertaste, the bitter taste seeping through the taste buds.

Anyway the cost of a cup powder tawas is ranging from P1.00-P15.00 depending on the size.

I always put small amount of tawas powder all-round my foot, and gently massage it to spread the powder. Make sure to do it every after bath.

There's also available product to used regarding your problem down there. One of the widest known product of Fissan, the foot powder.

I think powder tawas is often available in your home, asked your oldies!!! They surely have those or in the nearest sari-sari store for only P1.00 per sachet.

Important Note: I am not an expert or Podiatrist. I'm just simply sharing you all my budget friendly remedy to eliminate the foul odor smelly disgusting gross **you name it, foot.
